At the age of 14, the bass playing began. The interest in playing the bass was immediate after realizing that he didn't know any bass players and he figured it would be a pretty good way to get into a band. He was right. The instrument was a perfect fit. Jordan's original motivation to take the musical path was his desire to play live music with a band. Before actually knowing how to play bass, Jordan joined a band. Covering tunes by The Who, Led Zeppelin and Rush was became the best education a young musician could hope for. Jordan's band mates became fast friends and musical companions for the next five years. The group evolved in many different forms over that time, experimenting in many styles of music, eventually developing into a jazz quartet who made a large impact on the local jazz scene. After graduating high school, Jordan left the friendly confines the California's Marin County, where he spent his first 18 years, and made his way up to the wine country. A scholarship led him to the jazz studies program at Sonoma State University where he attended for two years. Jordan focused on writing and arranging original music as well as recording with several projects, ranging from jazz to rap, over the next several years. After relocation to the Pacific Northwest, Jordan connected with Kerosene Dream only months after his arrival. He joined the established group "in stride" and began performing with the band immediately.
