The Saints started out really as just Mission District with a new bass player, however the focus of the band was different from the outset. The new band concentrated more on original tunes and in trying to write more original originals. We also concentrated on getting out on the road, playing well over 100 shows a year from coast to coast in a rickety Winnebago.

The band released one album, "Fear of the Sky" in about 1993 which got scattered airplay around the country. We were working towards doing another one when things fell apart and we broke up.

The line-up was:
John Shipe on guitar and vocals;
Mike Walker on keys;
Dave Coey on bass and vocals;
Matt Reynolds on drums;
and yours truly on guitar and vocals.

The succession of drummers was:
1. Matt Reynolds;
2. Mike Partlow;
3. Andy Mitchell;
4. Mike Partlow;
5. Dave Austin.
