BOOKS...
Three Cups of Tea, by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin, is an amazing true story about a mountain climber who promises to build a school for the people of a Pakistani village who take him in. A must read, seriously.
Other notables: Fiasco, by Thomas Ricks. Iraq, of course; Clapton's autobiography was fun; Shalimar the clown, by Salman Rushdie was excellent. The man can write.

ALBUM SPOTLIGHT..
I can't seem to get enough of Brett Dennen's "So Much More" disc.
Saw him at High Sierra and had to grab it.

MY GEAR..
I mostly play an '84 American Standard Strat with EMGs. Just got me a Dr. Z Maz-38 Sr. 1x12 combo, and I LOVE it! Always on my pedalboard is an Ernie Ball Volume pedal, a Keeley modified RAT2, an AnalogMan souped-up Tube Screamer, a Boss Giga Delay, an Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail reverb pedal, and a Boss Tuner. Other pedals I sometimes throw in there: a Vox Wah, an MXR DynaComp compressor, a Phase 90, a Boss Flanger, a Boss Tremolo.

Has anybody seen the bridge?

SMOKIN' SHOWS..
Got the chance to go to London and check out THE ZEP! And it was good. In fact, it was EPIC. Better than I was expecting. Everybody looked great and like they were having a jolly good time. Kashmir and Whole Lotta Love were both huge.

AND ANOTHER THING..
(More to come...maybe)
